Hi, I'm Ben
I’m the founder of Open Arms Therapy, and I’m passionate about helping people feel more like themselves again.
My journey into psychotherapy and hypnotherapy didn’t come from textbooks alone — it came from real life. Through my own experiences, and seeing those close to me face challenges with their mental health, I developed a deep understanding of how difficult things can feel. More importantly, it gave me a genuine drive to help others navigate those moments and find a way forward.
I know how easy it is to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn. That’s why I’ve built my approach around being approachable, understanding, and focused entirely on you as an individual.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in the corporate world across the UK, in industries including insurance, aviation, financial services, and technology. While that experience gave me valuable insight into high-pressure environments and the challenges people face day-to-day, I felt a strong pull toward more meaningful, people-focused work.
That’s what led me here.
Today, my work is centred around creating a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly without judgement. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I’m committed to helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a greater sense of control in your life.
