When keeping going takes everything
Work, money worries, caring responsibilities and changes at home can leave little room for you. You may be getting through each day while finding it difficult to switch off, make decisions or feel rested.
Stress can feel like there is too much to manage. With burnout, people often describe deeper exhaustion, detachment and a loss of motivation, particularly in relation to work. These experiences deserve attention rather than more pressure to push through.
You do not need to wait until you reach breaking point. Therapy offers time to understand the demands you face and explore what support or changes may be possible.
How can I help
What would you like support with?
We can explore the pressures you face and how they affect your everyday life.

What happens in stress therapy?
01 · A first conversation
A free 10–15 minute intro call lets you ask questions and talk about what has been difficult, without pressure to book.
02 · Understand the pressure
We explore the demands on you, how you respond and the patterns that make it hard to rest or ask for support.
03 · Find a sustainable way forward
We can work on boundaries, coping responses and manageable changes, reviewing what helps and what needs wider support.
More than another task on your list
Support for stress is about understanding your situation, not expecting you to cope better with impossible demands. We can make room for the practical pressures as well as your feelings about them.
Our conversations might explore what drains your energy, the expectations you carry and where saying no feels difficult. We can consider small changes alongside support you may need at work or at home.
Persistent exhaustion, sleep changes or other symptoms can have different causes. If they are affecting your daily life or worrying you, please reach out.

FAQ
Questions about stress therapy
A few answers about stress and burnout support in Southend.
Is burnout the same as stress?
They can overlap, but burnout often involves exhaustion, detachment and reduced motivation after ongoing pressure, particularly at work. We can talk about your experience without needing you to label it.
Do I need to wait until I cannot cope?
No. You can seek support while you are still managing daily life. Noticing that pressure is affecting your sleep, relationships or wellbeing is enough reason to start a conversation.
Can therapy change my workload?
Therapy cannot remove every practical demand. It can offer space to explore choices, boundaries and support you may need from others, alongside how you respond to pressure.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies with your circumstances and what you want support with. We discuss a focus together and review the work as we go, rather than promising a fixed recovery timetable.
